THINKING ABOUT TEACHING IN SOUTH EAST KENT?

Our investment, our teachers, our community

The Dover, Deal and Sandwich Partnership is a group of like-minded schools who work together for the good of the students in our community. We believe in giving our young people access to first class teachers and, collectively, are committed to investing in the teachers of the future.

Teaching is the most rewarding, satisfying, challenging and, yes, sometimes frustrating career there is. The DDS schools – which include Grammar Schools, Secondary Moderns and Primary Schools – through working together can offer aspiring teachers an excellent experience base from which to launch their careers.

As the lead school for the provision of School Direct Teacher Training, Sandwich Technology School has a long and proud tradition of Staff Development and developing outstanding teachers. The school is delighted to now be working with the DDS partner schools to enable talented people to enter this wonderful profession in our area.

The Dover, Deal and Sandwich area is a beautiful part of Kent and a great place to live and work. We have stunning countryside, beautiful beaches and historic towns rich in heritage. You can enjoy a great social life visiting great pub’s, music venues and cinema’s or hop on the train or bus to Canterbury and take advantage of the cities shopping, restaurants and nightlife.  With its coastal location and variety of independent shops, Deal has been named as one of the best places to live in Britain 2018, in a Sunday Times survey. With the Port of Dover and the Channel Tunnel on our doorstep,  you also have quick and easy access to the continent or you can take advantage of the high speed trains running to London St Pancras for a quick trip to London or beyond.

We are offering you the opportunity to train to become a teacher in one of our Partner schools in this fabulous location, the Garden of England.
